Mehandipur Balaji Temple is one of the most famous temples of Lord Hanuman and Pret Raja in India. It is located at Dausa, which is a district of Rajasthan. This sacred Mehandipur Balaji Temple is known to have healed many people, who were possessed with evil spirits and ghosts. These people are basically known as sankatwalas. In order to cure their disorders and ailments, they have to regularly offer prayers to Shri Bheruji Pret Raj Sankar.

According to the legend, 1,000 years ago the divine trinity of Pret Raja, Shri Bhairava Baba and Lord Hanuman appeared from Aravali hills. This divine trinity and a magnificent temple were found by one of the ancestors of Shri Mahantji after years of Sadhna. In this temple many humanitarian and ritualistic performances take place such as providing the homeless, poor and incapacitated people with food and water, charity, fodder for stray animals and cows.

In this famous Mehandipur Balaji Temple, Shri Kishor Puri Ji is the priest who guides the sankatwalas with necessary prescriptions regarding treatment such as reading Holy Scriptures, follow a strict vegetarian diet and self afflicting physical pain in their body. One of the amazing features of this temple is the continuous flow of Holy water from Lord Hanuman’s left side of the chest. This holy water then collects on a pot which never dries.

Those suffering from the ailments should visit during festival times such as Dusshera, Shiva Ratri, Krishna Janamashtami, Annakuta, Makar Sankranti, Hanuman Jayanti and Holi because it is believed that these are the most auspicious time to get rid of ghosts and evil spirits. Main attractions of this temple include Pooja griha, Shrine of Balaji, Bheruji temple and Court of Pret Raja. In summer the temple remains open till 9 pm and during winter it remains open till 8 pm. Though it may seem to be very superstitious and gullible in today’s modern world but believe it or not, miracles do happen.
