The history of this holy Salasar Balaji temple is such that on the Shravan Shukla-Navami-Samvat 1811 there was a Jat farmer from village Asota. While ploughing his field, his plough got hit by something which created a sound. Out of curiosity he dug up the place and found idol which was covered with sand. Soon his wife also accompanied him and cleared off the sand from the idol. They recognized the idol to be of Balaji Lord Shri Hanuman and with full devotion they bowed their heads. Soon the news got spread in the village of Asota and the Thakur of this village also came to know about it. Later in his dream, Balaji ordered him to send the idol to Salasar.
